Icon Audio vs Lejonklou phono stages

I have an Entity on the end of a Klimax-ish LP12. It's a magnificent phono stage, replaced a Urika and left it for dead. If you're anywhere near Manchester, you'd be welcome to listen. Sorry, never heard Icon.

Which (if any) of your components are ‘end game’

The only definite endgame is my tuner, a Kremlin. Next most likely is my streamer. Six years ago, I went endgame with Lejonklou amplifiers... until last year the manufacturer announced a new version of the power amps, only a very limited run. You can guess the rest. Speakers are Graham LS5/9s...

    Tory Leadership Runners and Riders

I had been thinking that PM Truss was a good idea, on the basis that she was best placed to continue the shitshow and lose a general election. But, be careful what you wish for, as she would certainly rip up the NIP...

    Lejonklou boazu integrated

I've used Linn 109s and Graham LS5/9s. I've also listened to Kudos Super 20s and 505s, with Boazu, and Linn Akubarik. All were/are fine with Lejonklou.

    Lejonklou boazu integrated

I've compared Lejonklou amplifiers extensively with Linn, and I'd support what spanna says above. The problem, if it is one at all, is that Lejonklou amplifiers are possibly the least "impressive" you can find. They do not shout at you, or find any artificial sparkle, or emphasis. They just...

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

I agree with you about the A2, way ahead of its time... My specialist garage currently has another C6 in his workshop with £2k damage - hit by a delivery van when parked. The insurers are trying to write it off, and a major row is in progress. I saw this three days before I was hit, so it...

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

Thank you for all the responses. I have now contacted my insurance company, in fear and trepidation of the costs, to report the accident. Discussing it with them, I said I didn't want to claim as my excesses were more than the repair cost. They replied that as it was clearly a no-fault...

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

I'm not in this to milk it, just to get my rather-well-kept old car back to where it was. It's likely not worth much as a write-off, especially when compared to what I would then have to spend on a replacement.

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

I have had whiplash before, and I don't have any symptoms now. I also have a very good physio who will check me in a few days' time.

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

I haven't yet informed them, partly for this reason.

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

In this instance, the damage has been professionally inspected and assessed, so I'm confident there is no material underestimation. The repairers have been known to me for over 25 years.

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

Thanks all. As I don't have legal cover, will my insurance actually pursue recovery of the excess, won't I have to do that myself? And if I make a claim, I've heard that my premiums will rise even if it wasn't my fault - that is one motivation for not claiming. The other is the fear of...

Rear-ended at traffic lights - what are my options?

On Saturday, in a torrential downpour, I was sitting at traffic lights, third in the queue with another car stationary behind me. Lights go green, first car doesn't move so second car and I (third) also don't move. Whilst stationary, I'm hit from behind with some force. Turns out he saw the...
