My 2 cents would be to consider getting one of the big apple HomePods off of eBay. They have automatic room correction software which seems pretty good to me. They sound really great for size and price, down side is you are limited to airplay only.

Yes, I can see that you can still buy them from superfi and Peter Tyson but the more well known and high street retailers don't seem to have them.
