Can I buy a replacement 'stylus' only for the Linn K5? I didn't think I could as Linn don't make the K5 anymore...

I seem to remember Denon did a half decent cart, DL or DH11 or something? or am I mistaken? Ah, just remembered, DL110 and 103, but they are MC carts.

Seems to be a toss up between the Goldring 2100 and the 2m Red at the moment. Cart on there at the moment, Jamie, is a Linn K5.

Looking for recommendation for an MM cartridge to go with a 1989 Rega Planer 3 with RB300 arm. It's going through a Linn Majik DSM and Linn Ninka speakers (with better bases). I like a weighty bass, deep with lots of slam, smooth mids and smooth treble, nice warm sound that is not brash or...

The Keel is a big rip off, period. It's a piece of machined aluminium FFS. Nothing complicated about it. A pall of mine mills stuff like this all the time, piece of cake. The Hi-Fi world is the best place to rip off gullible fools. No way would I spend £2,660 on a piece of tin for a 'negligible'...

Thinking Linn Magik DSM with Linn Ninka speakers and a REL Strata 3 or 4 sub is the way to go.

Thanks, John. All good stuff. Ninka's are probably a better bet, a third of the price and plenty around used.

Starting to look like Magic DS with built-in amp. Shahinian Arcs sound like a good idea over Linn Ninkas, but not sure how much Arcs are and they never come up used for sale.

Naim Atom is a tad expensive, don't really like the look of it, especially if screens cost 'Naim' money to fix. In hindsight, Brio would be no good as it does not have a single digital input and I need to put my TV through it.
