Unwanted silence from Naim - help needed!

Wanted sound from naim! Well, so the naims are are finally playing music - and are sounding so sweet! This 48 h drama ends with me coming home from work today, to put the 112X back into the box and bring it to the Stockholm dealer for service. Before unplugging I thought I'd press play on...

Ok Jack, in this situation, that conclusion actually feels pretty good. And the million-£-question now for sure is why the thing wont send out a signal. Possibly someone who knows electronics better than me will have to take a look at it! With your help I feel like I've tried every trick in...

Yes, I have connected the cd-player to my old crummy amp and it works just fine. Btw I just talked to the seller who was as pussled as me as to the development of this affair. If possible, he seems to know even less than me about naim units, but agreed to lend me another cable to try and and...

Maybe the seller would agree to let me test it at his place. On thing about the hiss though, it is constant and does not, as far as I can notice, increase by turning the volume up. Does this tell anyone anything?

And there is for sure a slight hiss from the speakers (seems normal to me)!

As told to Neil: I actually bought the cd separately and have used it with RCA's, but the guy who sold me the 112x/150x used a naim cd din-din, so by setting my cd's output to din I thought it would be ok. Well, as you know it wasn't, and I've also tried setting both cd and preamp back to...

Jack, unfortunately this doesn't do the trick (even though it seems to set itself into default settings). But thanks anyway! Great advise I've gotten from you guys at this site - would for sure be totally lost without it! I'll seek out some support from naim in the coming week, but after all...

Ok, Neil, I cannot access my mail account at the moment (yahoo has serious problems over here), but I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible!

Yes Thomas. I agree that it really could be a faulty cable, and I guess it it possible that the 150x powers up the 112x without getting the signal back from the 112x... Maybe I should try to get my hands on anoter 4-pin snaik. Well, it has been a pretty frustrating 24 hours since I got it...

It seemed to be have been set to both din and rca before. But I have several times also connected the 112x via the RCA:s. But if the amp is muted in any way, should the mute button not be lit (and it isn't)?

Thomas - I'm not sure I understand. Do you know what the display should show for using only DIN? 1. oo 2. 0 oo 3. 0 ?

Thomas - I don't know, but am getting my hopes up with this question since I always before yesterday used RCA with my CD5i. Do you know how to do this?
