Another point to note: Our award—winning medium-heavy mass WAND PLUS 9.5” tonearm is cheaper than almost all other top-flight arms and is an idyllic match with the big DENON DL-103 carts.

I was never committed to changing from MC to MM - I just thought it might be more affordable, on an ongoing replacement basis. This would in-turn allow me to affordably update styli more frequently, in an attempt to protect our beloved vinyl collection.

REFERENCE3A DE CAPO are a somewhat similar design to your beloved ES14 - in a more modern configuration.
Like the ES14, the little DA CAPOs have a real following.

We’re in the J-FET camp, with our TRICHORD DELPHINI 2-box phono.
We have the option of 47K loading for MM with either 100pF or 1,000pF - which I fear may NOT be low enough pF for some MM designs…
… but once again, for a replacement NAGAOKA MP-300 stylus, we are back to slightly more money than a brand new DENON DL103R.

Horrible thing.
I was quietly relieved when I accidentally damaged it.
Then came the SHELTER 501/2!

For me, truth of timber and dynamics are paramount. I suspect you are the same.
After all, if a steel string acoustic guitar doesn’t sound like one - complete with resinous guitar body, and secondary harmonics, etc. - who cares if you can hear the guitarist...
I recall the legendary reputation of the GRACE F9E MM cart series.
I imagine one can still purchase quality aftermarket styli for them but not sure how they would compete with similar modern offerings, today.
