    Budget Hi-fi heaven

Cassettes were rubbish. Mini-discs on the other hand were great and I never understood why they died out.

Thanks - managed to get in with the physio this coming Friday so hopefully back at it soon enough.

    Spotify HIFI is here!!!

I just wish Spotify would get on with it. Tried Tidal, Amazon HD, Qobuz - all great but I much prefer the UI of Spotify. As soon as they do HiFi I'll be all over it.

    System Pics 2022

Love a well-hidden system. That would get approved in our house. I have to hide boxes under units, behind the sofa, anywhere SWMBO can't see them.

    The runners' thread... (part II)

Half way through training for a half marathon and I've managed to flare up an old knee injury. Apparently the back of my patella is rubbing on my thigh bone (chondromalacia patellae) - signed up for some physio now so hopefully that will put me back on the straight and narrow but for now running...

Lyngdorf - looking for input and advice

I believe it supports 24-bit/48 kHz but yes, I take your point.

Roon core or Auralic Aries G2/ Lightning DS to make music files easier to manage.

Perhaps I can offer one more thought, though I might get flamed for it! Sonos user interface is one of the best available IMO, so on one of my systems I use a cheap Sonos connect unit (with digital output) and then use their app to search music from music stored on a NAS drive. It really works...

Another vote here for Roon (plus streaming service). I have Roon on a family PC and am now considering getting a separate NUC to run this (and Plex server), with the library stored on a separate NAS. Definitely worth the free trial as suggested above.

I’d rather make a slower more meaningful contribution to the forum than spam it with another 50 useless posts :-)
