I never heard of any hardware problems that prevent MiniStreamer or Pro-Jets's verion from running MoOde or volumio. The CM3 module used is more or less like a standard RPI 3 software wise. You can even swap the CM3 card with one with more storage on board. I deleted Volumio and installed...

I will definitely get Johns DAC if it get finished. I am too curious to hear what I have been waiting for so many years and so far paid on the wrong side of 6K. On the subject of alternatives there is another favorable review up for the Spring 3 and comparing to the Pontus DAC.
