Thanks to all for their input to this problem on the Onix. I am looking for someone who can expedite the repairs needed on the input selector and get the amp back fully functioning. Ideally located in West Wales but failing that further afield. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is an oa21s. I recall the guy I bought it off saying something about a ribbon input selector which he had problems with which he had sorted out. Whatever he did it seems the problem has come back.

When I acquired mine I transported them on their backs in an estate making sure that they were well padded on either side and everything was fine. It was a relatively short journey about 15 miles but take it easy and it can be done.

Thanks Dowser on your comments on the Onix. Question, it has,nt had a service for quite a while but on the other hand it has,nt had much use either. Would it do any harm if I left it on all the time? Also where are the smoothing caps on the circuit board? Thanks again

Any oa21s owners out there would be interested on their views on the above.

Advice please should I leave the amp on all the time or turn it off after use. I,m trying it with Naim Sbl,s anybody tried that combination before if so interested in your views.

I am a complete moron as far as digital streaming is concerned I would,nt know where to start. My systems have always been based on vinyl and cds. I do however have an ipod which my daughter fills with album tracks and is used on holidays.
