    M25 closed this weekend. Junction 10 / 11

Just wish they would put as much money and effort on all roadworks especially the M1 from J10 up and down to. Miles and miles of cordoned off fast lanes with mostly bugger all happening.

    Planning permission for driveways

you live snd learn. My neighbour was told it was permeable by the people who laid it.

    Planning permission for driveways

Resin is worth looking at as an alternative to block paving. We have block paving which is now a few years old and a constant weeding issue. Next door has permeable resin which looks good.

More than a fifth of UK adults not looking for work

there are huge shortages social work, very few want the jobs unless it is agency. We are spending enough on 8 agency workers to cover the cost of 11 directly employed. The job is sh*te, as is the support from senior managers. About to get worse as LA’s have to save loads of money. Ours has just...

    Car - going electric

I suppose I am a bit wary of commercial operations with links to product sales being always independent. After all we often have issues with hifi mags giving glowing reviews to those who advertise with them. However take your point.

    Car - going electric

I am always a bit suspicious of Which and their reviews. A few years back they did a digital camera review, my brother who was a professional photographer at the time said they were talking out of their backsides.

    Car - going electric

depends on what you consider better. Certainly performance and noise levels. Distance depends on use. The longest return trip we did was 240 mile round trip but most of time we drive it for five days before plugging it in. Did higher mileage when we bought it but still only plugged it in every...

    Car - going electric

I am suggesting no because it may not make sense. We have had electric cars for the last seven years and counting. When we retire maybe next year and the PCP comes to an end, very much doubt we will buy electric.

saw them on telly last night, what a pair of twats.

    Car - going electric

Given it will be basically a run around I wouldn’t bother buying electric. By the time you factor in the additional cost you can buy a lot of petrol. Soon they will road taxed, insurance can be double and the cost of a home charger can be £500-£1000. Maybe a self charge hybrid?

    Klarna

probably not dissimilar to people with multiple credits cards with balances not paid in full each month.
