Why some are stand-mount people and others floorstanders

All at listening position , 1/3rd octave smoothing for the graph display , 1 speaker at a time and a combined one ... Trinnov software and their measuring 3d mic. Heres a pic at 1/6th octave and then at 1/12th the target curve you apply is not directly translatable to actual measurement when is...

    Integrating subs for music playback

Think of multisubs like this , throw a pebble into a pond and you get one big ripple , throw a handful in and you get multiple smaller non correlated ripples due to cancellation etc... 2 subs are not ideal, tho more than 4 subs is not cost effective. You really need a combined approach...

Why some are stand-mount people and others floorstanders

Try as a I might with various stand mount speaker and subs , they still cant give me the grandeur and majesty of playback that large floorstanders can do..

    Integrating subs for music playback

The audiokenesis swarm of subs works a treat ..I used 4 powered subs to do more or less the same..I would have bought the audiokenesis subs and amp , but transport costs to SA were an issue. I ended up using 4 SVS sb13 ultra subs with a minidsp 4x10hd doing DSP. However , despite the swarm...

Interesting bass setup there ..never seen or heard anything like it. Anything Squishy is isolation/decoupled , hard and rigid is coupled. At any rate most vibration is airborne anyway and you cant do much about it

You have raised your speakers with the tweak..in all probability, this too contributes to the sound difference..

To Sub, or not to Sub...

One of big advantages to using a sub or 2 is that you get a sense of more ambience with them , a wider and larger soundstage..some more majesty and grandeur so to speak 2 or more subs can be used not only for more or deeper bass , but will actually also smooth out the room response and using 2...
