I would also second looking for a class D amp. I've owned four and can say the bass is lean & detailed. I found I could get away with a louder volume and not annoy the neighbours. Class D amps also tend to be super fast and have blacker backgrounds in my experience.
I own the Zenith mk3, Chord m scaler & Dave. I found the ifi micro usb 3.0 made a very worthwhile upgrade to sound by improving the definition. The ifi has made improvements in my previous setups as well.

I'd suggest making sure the spikes are all tightly fixed to the speakers so they can't loosen up (no loose nuts to rattle etc). This will also help couple them to the granite slab. Put the pads under each spike so that it prevents wobble as they dig in, this should at least improve sound stage...
A cheap way to sometimes improve your system is to place your kit on squash balls. Being made of rubber they damp vibrations fairly well so maybe give that a go. If there's no difference you haven't spent much and can rest easy knowing the stand you're using is fine.
