Confirmation from Himself: No need to remove the shroud - simply insert a flat bladed screwdriver into the connector as far as it will go to expand the opening. It then pushes on tightly - no problem.

Les has a Grad 2 well under way which has been delayed due to his recent illness and operation. MC + MM + 4 Line inputs and remote volume ctrl + 3 channel shunt power supply.

NCC220? Different range, different sound, different cost.

All this is irrelevant as Les gave up on the RCA circuit some time ago and has moved on with a series of innovative new designs. He'll continue to supply the NCC200 until PCBs run dry. He wrote on his FB page "The RCA is dead - long live the SE Series!"

Just noticed this thread and would like to add that I heard a pair of 135s with NCC300 boards driving a pair of Gales the other day and would suggest a listen to these as they seemed to drive these speakers really well. Not sure how the Gales compare for load to the Obs but the Avondales...

As I understand, the 130 amps were made with push-on wiring connectors so fitting NCC220 modules makes for a few minutes job

Just a thought but I'm using my Bluesound 2i with a Topping E30 Dac and noticed a few glitches but when I checked the App I found a setting under settings/player and then Audio called Audio clock trim which mentions timing with an external dac so I just disabled this setting and it's been fine...

After speaking to Les he has asked me to post his thanks to those who assisted with building the NCC 300s and proving their qualities. He also states that there will be no more PCBs or modules available to the DIY fraternity. Bob.

As to the comment from out of nowhere above about a murder of Lawyers. It will be interesting to see if anything untowards happens to Les whether the Police will have an obvious target for initial investigations. Strikes me as a rather shocking remark from a one time moderater Rico.
