I wish my system sounded better without preamp, however reality is different. Removed my Audio Research Ref6 preamp from the system for a week and listened to dac direct to power amp. Thought it was ok, but when plugged Ref6 back couldn't believe how much better system sounded!

Reimyo used Victor company K2 processing technology and CD drives for their CDP-777 player.

I recently bought japanese Reimyo CD player. It is based on quite old technology, however sounds much better than my modern Auralic Vega G2 dac with CDs. Tidal and Qobuz streaming doesn't come near either.

I recently bought second hand Clearaudio Innovation Wood. It exceeded all expectations. Very refined sounding deck.

I sold my AL5 for £6k 2 years ago. £7.5k is very optimistic price for mkii imho.

I used to have ARC SP11 and LS26 preamps. Loved them both, however my REF 150 power amp needed some expensive repairs few times and that drove me away from this brand. Not enough tech suppport and very expensive service in UK.

I used Audience AU24e with angled connector on my SME V, now I have Thomas Shick arm with non detachable cable, but would really love to convert it to have DIN socket - Audience is fantastic cable.

There are way too many fake ads and scams in German hifi classifieds. Would stay away.

My JBL K2 speakers are endgame for me. Amps, preamps, dacs and other bits I change quite often.

I tried using Benchmark Dac3 HGC as preamp in my system some time ago and didn't like it one bit. Sounded boring and flat.
