Searching for artist on bubbleup on qobuz

Yes. I use BubbleUPnP to search Qobuz, usually Artist first, then Albums or Tracks to find what I'm after.

Very near to the wall speaker recommendations

I recall that they are recommended to be kept at least 50cm away from corners.

Very near to the wall speaker recommendations

In my view Larsens will work well firing across your room. Ideally try at home first to make sure you like what they do. I have the 8s (but don't rule out the 4s or 6s) and the closer to the wall you can get them the better they sound - particularly stage depth.

Switching from hard media to streaming

Mainly because most popular music released today is dynamically crushed to death. Check out https://dr.loudness-war.info/ and you'll see what I mean.

    Larsen speakers .

I've had my Larsen 8s since 2016. They're in a room that's far from ideal - almost square at 3.55m x 3.41m. They are against the wall >50cm from the side walls. They sound pretty good and far better than my previous Naim speakers. Because of how they work they seem to overcome the lack of...

what was the first piece of hifi you bought

A Goldring G101, brought from Comet in Croydon (in 1973 I think) for £25. It fed an old reel to reel tape recorder with built in amp and speakers via a very cheap step up transformer!

Does a smart meter affect Hi-Fi sound?

I found this: Can my supply be turned off remotely? Smart meters have the facility to remotely disconnect and reconnect both the electricity and gas supply. However, most suppliers seem to have decided it is too dangerous to remotely disconnect or reconnect, as in the case of disconnection they...

    Sending speakers in Germany

I don't have experience of shipping OS400s in Germany, but I would say that if they are in their original packaging they'll be fine. I had a pair of these, which were shipped from the UK to the US when I sold them and ASFAIK arrived without any problem.
