Perfect! I had a feeling it wasn't a fixed cable, so this is divine. I'll get in touch right away!

Thank you very much lads! It's a childhood dream come true... I say childhood, I'm still a baby compared to most forum goers! Will post some lovely pics when it arrived. Need to sort an adapter cable too before I forget!

I'll link the ebay listing, I would say I over paid but impatience is a dammed bastard! And I need to rush to replace my Sansui since its being collected this weekend...

Welp! Being money conscious didn't last me long, I ended up with a 8002 oopsie! Now @Beobloke and @chartz any pointers on what to do/what to keep an eye out for to stop this beauty from being a beautiful record player and becoming a beautiful paper weight?

Man! If only I could go back and fell 8 year old Pepper to buy more B&O Haha! Already know the drill with the carts, thankfully I personally know Parker who is one of the engineers at Soundsmith so can source one of them easy peasy and was planning too anyway! Ideally it'd be a 4k I'd buy...

Exactly what I was expecting actually, I had a feeling the 6002 was a evolution of the 4002 since internally its very similar. Ideally the dream would be a 4000 or a 8002 (4000 would defo tick the dream factor the most) but honestly the costs of them are just... crazy! I'm sure they are worth...

Glad this piece of information was left here, have owned several Beo decks over the years and just sold a Sanusi DD that I've decided to replace with something about more suitable to the home decor.... by that I mean Screams Mid-century modern. Was considering the 8000/8002 slightly concerned...

    Downsizing

Maybe do a best of best worlds? And just downsize a wee by getting rid off stuff you don't use for now? Even if it's just one or two items for now. It clears up some space and allows you to think properly about the much loved stuff. I 'downsized' when I moved in with my partner and as soon as we...

    Focal Powered by Naim Stores

Yea, I think it'll be difficult. But then again it's all exceptionally high end, high price items so sometimes statement retail shops are worth it purely for the experience and the fact its there. Even it it doesn't turn much revenue over.

    Your Loudspeaker history...

Started off in 2015? Maybe 2016 I think B&O C75s Monitor Audio Silver 100 (I think I must have got these in 2017?) Q acoustics 1010i 5.1 system for the av setup Kef 104/2 (rebuilt these myself think this was 2018) Kef cantor III (still own these, dad is using them picked em up in a trade for my...

    Focal Powered by Naim Stores

I think even then all the bose ones are now closed. I used to work on a Sony store (2018-2019 I think it was) and the foot fall was terrible, absolutely awful. It amazes me they the store is still in business

    Kef reference series models 1-4

That's the one thing I gathered was what made the chap switch from the 104/2 to the ref 4s was purely the bass. They just have such extension and just something special about them. I do have a pair of ref 1s sat at my mother's place in need of a full UniQ unit that I probably should give to a...

Which musicians have lived on your street ?

I vaguely remember that Pete Haycock, from the climax blues bands lived in our house many moons ago, in little doxey just outside stafford. Which is apparently why we have such an enormously long garage with a wall through one half of it, cause it was used as a recording studio! Didn't know...

    Kef reference series models 1-4

I've owned the 104/2 (couple of pairs) and currently own some reference series one. The chap I brought one of my 104/2 off had just upgraded to the reference model 4s. Can't remember the specifics of the differences but the one thing that amazed was just how big the model 4s were! And now he has...
