Old Naim 12 and 120 sound

Would love to hear what you think after the change. I have NJ boards stuffed with z-foils.

    Luxman/Accuphase/Yamaha - Quality?

Definitely a fair point. Besides the longevity and a strategy that seems rooted in consistency, I like companies like Accuphase that share a lot of information about their products and product history.

    Luxman/Accuphase/Yamaha - Quality?

Does anyone know how those coils work or what they do? Hard to take them seriously just based on what they call those things…

    Luxman/Accuphase/Yamaha - Quality?

Besides Yamaha, I’m guessing may hold true for Denon also. Did you ever listen to the Denon PMA-A110?

    Luxman/Accuphase/Yamaha - Quality?

Has anyone heard class d amplifiers and can compare to Luxman/Accuphase/Audionet? Dealer I am in contact with sells Audionet and Mola Mola. I’m becoming increasingly interested in the Mola Mola Kula integrated but have never heard one. I owned a Marantz PM-KI Ruby for a short time. Nice...

    Luxman/Accuphase/Yamaha - Quality?

Thanks for mentioning. Would be great to acquire an amp with a known provenance. Unfortunately, I’m far from the UK and not an option for me.

New Rega Nd7 Moving Magnet cartridge

Well for one, the Aphelion has a boron cantilever. The ND7 doesn’t. I heard the ND7 won’t have a replaceable stylus. However, one can always get it retipped. I am interested because of the higher output but I don’t think it will sound as fast and coherent as my Aphelion 2.

    Rega Naia

MF describes it here: Phono Stage The A1 employs a discrete current-mode input stage for lowest noise amplification of MC and MM cartridges. A low noise current to voltage conversion stage is used for further amplification and RIAA equalization. Automatic input impedance matching for the...

    Rega Naia

Interesting. I thought it has to do with how the Rega tonearms are wired…here is a snippet from Channel D, who also makes a current mode phono stage. Briefly, any phono cable/tonearm combination where twisted-pair-conductor cables are employed and the two conductors are not connected to the...

    Rega Naia

How was the Naia used with the MF A1 phono stage? I thought Rega tonearms were incompatible with current mode phono stages. Or, was a different phono stage used?

    Naim Nait 3R phono noise

I don’t have it connected at the moment. Will try some of the suggestions this weekend. I appreciate the help provided very much!

    Naim Nait 3R phono noise

Using an NJ version of the Naim MC. Don’t remember which one. Thing is this worked a while ago. Something happened…just don’t know what.
