I've had a go at playing with speaker positioning, going much wider has improved the detail/space/separation in general, moving backwards into the alcoves has further improved bass, but it's not solved my perceived problem (which I will happily admit may not exist). Given this is all subjective...

Plan is to have a cupboard and shelves built into the dark grey alcove, far alcove has a radiator in it. Will need to speak with the other half with regards to widening them out, reckon I can eek out another foot.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I've also got a NAD C421 feeding a Chord QuteHD for digital duties. Difference low down isn't massive which makes me think it isn't input related. Seanm - thanks, will investigate.

Darn, too slow!

From my experience (used to shoot Sony Alpha) most of it isn't particularly noteworthy (not sure about the body), but I had a "beer can" (the 70-210) for a number of years, very well regarded lense. Not sure about current resale value, given the shift towards E mount lenses

Quick question that I couldn't seem to answer with Google. My TT + pre-amp output level is well below that of my CD player, is that normal? System = Rega 3, Rega Fono Mini A2D, Naim Nait XS The Fono Mini has an output level adjustment on the front, but the manual looks to suggest this...

I couldn't hold on any longer and pulled the trigger on a DAC. Concious effort to choose something else and avoid potential disappointment.
