I remember them 11L as being Spendor designed ? As for Wharfedale "quality, they seem to have truly many editions from few $ to rather high prices. I remember original Diamonds as being a great loudspeaker. Of their current range, none has impressed me the slightest.

I've heard the WH Phamtom cable was in fact a $3-4 cable from China. Makes me even more happy I sold mine at a premium on ebay, in the days after they went bust.

Strongly disagree Under the right conditions / room, they are great small loudspeakers in their price category. I think Rega did an excellent non-wooden speaker job there, even their little 30w IO amp fill a medium room nicely. Clearly looks can be discussed, they should have offered grill...

Most of the UK kit - Yes 33, FM3, 303, 306, 34, 44, FM4 love it. Most of the Chinese kit - Nope. The Vena was ok but the horrible light bar on Artera was annoying.

GR is definately better than 1200mk7, 1500C/100C (same deck with/without phonostage) The new GR2 seem to provide good s/h GR prices, nearly half retail isn't bad. Whatever the bundled cartridge is, usually little value, those turntables deserve better.

If on the cheapskate try to find old JPW Ap1 or Ap2, maybe original Wharfedale Diamonds. I'd guess some good condition Royds would match nicely too.

LS3/5a market has long gone crazy money for a highly compromised product.

I'd grab any s/h GR that goes below price of new 100C/1200mk7 Splendid deck.

Another expensive doorstop risk. , some of their CD players, flagship CDS3 and others possible not supported. The Uniti's screen display issue - not their finest hour.
