Congratulations... Have been eyeing the RS 520 with the integrated amp as well to replace my Lyngdorf 2170.. I am assuming the sound to be similar to the Lyngdorf but with streaming capabilities as well as a digital VU meter... Would be great if you could update the SQ vis a vis the Naim...

Has anyone tried putting floor standing speakers on cork sheets? I have seen a number of cork+rubber sandwich pads which should do a pretty good job of isolation atleast in theory...

Qutest is VFM when it comes to price to performance ratio... The Hugo TT will give just a little bit extra but cost you quite a bit extra...Can't go wrong with a Qutest at it's price especially used..

Does the Gaia work and improve the sound when used with other DACs as well?

I jumped ship from the Compact 7ES3 (used them for 6 and a half years) to the Tannoy Turnberry GR... Compact 7 had some bass issues due to the room whereas with the Turnberrys the bass issue has reduced.. The Harbeths have that lovely mid range but the Tannoys I feel bring out more details...

I am not using any subs as the Tannoys are supposed to do the low frequencies decently.. Attaching a video of the setup taken yesterday as I am trying the MA 252 over the weekend.. Using the Lyngdorf as a pre and running room perfect as I type... WIll listen now and check for the difference...

I too have been running the 2170 with a pair of Tannoy Turnberry GRs but really wish that I could have heard my Harbeth Compact 7ES3s with it as I sold it before... RP works well and even on bypass mode the sound is excellent if you place your speakers correctly away from the walls.. It does not...

I was told that the leaves absorb sound and have ordered a bunch of Aloe Vera small plants. They sure make the room look nicer but I was really hoping that they along with the sand/mud act as absorbers.. Atleast I will a little more oxygen during the day...
