    Benny Goodman

This: https://www.discogs.com/release/25863763-Benny-Goodman-The-Famous-1938-Carnegie-Hall-Jazz-Concert Later versions and releases were re-equalized in an attempt to remove surface noise from the 78 RPM acetates originally used to record the concert, with mixed results at best. This version...

'Manhunt' on Apple TV. Tobias Menzies stars as Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton as he searches for John Wilkes Booth immediately following Lincoln's assassination. Excellent thus far.

What are you listening to right now #64

If you like that one, check out 'Atlanta Millionaires Club', the release prior to 'I Know I'm Funny Ha Ha'. Saw her on that tour in Burlington Vermont - she's great live.

    Silver Foil Speaker Cables anyone?

You might want to investigate Silversmith Audio Fidelium cables, which are neither copper nor silver, but rather an alloy. I've been using them for a couple of years now, and they are the best speaker cables I've ever heard in my system. That said, I've always been a fan of solid core speaker...

Cars with front lights on but no back lights....eh?

Regardless, the law is the law. 10 years ago or so, I got pulled over twice going to and from the ferry in Rab, Croatia for not having my lights on - by the same cop!! He wasn't too amused the second time, but fortunately no ticket as I did my best to apologize in my rather poor hrvatski.

Analogue Productions - Atlantic records 75th Series.

I have the Crosby, Stills & Nash (S/T), the first Foreigner LP, and Genesis 'Selling England'. I own both US and UK first pressings of all of them, and the Atlantic 75/45s obliterate every one of them sonically - I mean, it's not even close. I can't recommend them highly enough.

    Mike Watt 9 minute treat.

Since we're slightly straying off the Mike Watt topic, if you've never heard it, try out Tar Babies 'No Contest'. SST 169.

The Greatest Night in Pop on Netflix. It's a documentary on the making of "We Are The World" in 1985. Very worthwhile.

    Your Thoughts on Origin Live

My only experience with their products was the "Motor Upgrade" package for the LP12. This utilized a DC motor along with a 'controller' box. Honestly, it was terrible - the speed drifted constantly (it claimed to use current sensing feedback) and it was quickly sold on (along with the rest of...

Does anyone have a vinyl only system?

Yes. I listen exclusively to vinyl at home. I used to have a CD player, but I let a friend borrow it around 7 years ago, and I've never wanted it back. I also have around 400 CDs that I really ought to get around to selling. Of the lot, I'd likely keep around 20 items simply for the sake of...

    Grammar query: that versus which

'Sport' vs. 'Sports' triggers me in the same manner (as an American). Explain that one.

I've got the vinyl edition on order - it should be here today! When a YouTube video gives you goosebumps, I'm expecting great things from the entire LP.
