    System Pics?

Likewise, I hadn’t realised how small they are. Can I ask what that the veneer finish is? Looks similar to a pair of Diapasons I saw way back when Richard Shahinian was still with us.

    introduction to zappa

It took me ages to get a handle on Frank. The “arch” attitude and smart-assery noted elsewhere…. Consequently I find is instrumental material the most interesting, so: Hot Rats, as noted above Uncle Meat Waka/Jawaka The Grand Wazoo (his masterpiece IMHO) Lather (bits of but a great...

Ref. Windhoek His stand is a Minus K modification to the original Continuum Castelon stand. I very much doubt whether it's available to buy?

Hi Great looking system. What are the stands? Look like Isoblue shelves but not their uprights?

Music on BBC Licencing Ad - 8 Times

Doe any of the parishioners recognise the music on the above ad ? It's seems to be a jazz guitar trio ? I've tried Shazam-ing it several times but there's too much voice-over for it to get a reading.

Elbow - Seldom Seen Kid - SQ?

I wasn't intending to start an analogue/digital debate - we've all been there before ad nauseum. ProTools is a piece of software that allows a multitude of tracks to be recorded to hard-disk (many more than the trad. analogue 8, 16 & 24 track tape machines of yor). It also allows manipulation...

Elbow - Seldom Seen Kid - SQ?

I've always wondered why some Pink Fishers rate the sonic qualities of Elbow's recent stuff so highly, especially on vinyl ? Let me make it clear that artistically they are very near the best currently working IMHO and if there's a better lyricist this side of Elvis Costello................? The...

    Stylus Cleaning Regimes

If memory serves me right, Dynavector recommend that you DO NOT use vibrating cleaners like the AT637? I certainly sold mine when I switched to Dynavector. I use a soft stylus brush (as supplied by Dynavector with its cartridges) after every side and an Onzow Zerodust (the VP Dustbuster is...

    Naim cd2, cdx or cds2

There DEFINITELY is a top loader (early) version of the CD2 - looks identical to the CDi but has something different going on inside - I know not what? A friend of mine has one. Naim then ran out of transports (or short of them/reserved them for CDSs) and resorted to the pull out drawer.

    Naim cd2, cdx or cds2

I'm sure a lot of Naim diehards will not agree with this but for me, the CD2 was probably Naim's most musical CD player. This is especially so if you have the top loader version rather than the pull out "drawer". After that, the later CDSs and the CDi, in that order. The CDS2 has a...

    New Naim S1 pre/power

Who cares..........................Naim have produced nothing of any note since Julian died and the asset strippers moved in.

    Mogami Cable

Hi Sorry for delay - I use 2972 Spkr Cable.

    Mogami Cable

Okay, for the record I use a 250 into Compasses (fed by a L300 mk2) and I've used NAC A5, Odyssey 4 and Mogami. IMHO there is absolutely no contest; the Mogami every time. A5 is very crude by today's standards and Naim probably would (should?) have replaced it by now but for the cost of the...
