I thought the cone material seemed a bit lighter than others I have seen, I'm probably over thinking it tbh, just a worry buying blind so to speak.

These have caught my eye, trouble is the drivers seem to be different to photos of ones I have seen in the past. Anyone more familiar with the Direkt able to comment ? Thanks...

Just came out of my company car and took the car allowance. OK mid tax year but my paid tax ( @40%) this month just dropped £600 with the change in tax code. My car allowance of £650, and leasing an Audi A4 Avant @ £220 per month, makes me wonder why I didn't do it sooner !

I got some similar stands made by Russ Collinson ( Layers of Beauty), he may have kept the templates , solid oak, with single adjustable spike in the centre to alter the tilt. Worked very well

"Headphones" is where I'm intending on going. The 2905's were just too visually monolithic in our lounge, so have been replaced by some small stand mounts. The intention is that the 57's will be in a dedicated small listening room , pretty much near field in configuration.

I drove my 57's with Jadis monoblocks about 30 w, when I got some 2905's the Jadis just wern't up to the job, some Quad QMP Monos got to grips with the 2905s just fine. However domestic arrangements means the big boys had to go and I'm on the lookout for another pair of 57's.
