I like Elicit/R volume dial and the clear display leds. Looks and works a pleasure. Somebody mentioned issues with Aethos volume and difficulties in getting level right by using remote. Would anyone know progress ?

I wouldn't use 600/650 with Uniti's, these cans need a dedicated amp ime. 58x should be better for such purpose. A friend have these, purchased last year from drop, but reasons occured and they are still unpacked and unused. I think they were $200, competition are tight.

I ended up with a Rega DAC after using a Chord Hugo DAC for a period. Hugo were impressive at first but in the long run (and a forthcoming battery issue) I preferred my humble Rega, todays bargain s/h. Maybe too large a box for a desktop
