    ATC SCM 19 v2

I have just compared a pair of ATC SCM 19 active floorstanders with ProAc D20R. It might be a matter of taste, but for me the ProAc won. However I still have a pair of Harbeth M30 here, but they are replaced now by the D20R. The ATC were good, but low levels seems not to be their strength. Both...

Upgrade from 30yr old Epos ES14s

Just now I have my Harbeth M30 in my little men´s cave replacing a pair of Epos ES11. In my ears it is like night and day. Concrete floor and walls could have made the treble of the ES11 a bit annoying. But the pair of ProAc D2d I have upstairs now are a better match than the M30 in that room...

Looking for Beautiful / different looking speakers pref floorstanders up to £2.5k / £5k if active

If you take a look at the Boenickes you should also consider Trenner & Friedl Art or Osiris +1 for the Duevel Venus or Bella Luna and here Cabasse, Devore Gibbons, active Buchards JM Reynaud And one of my favourite speakers: Bullfrogs (active or passive)from Mr. Martion (Berlin)

Thinking of selling it all, or massive downgrade at least......

Here a few ideas from the continent: No big boxes? I got a go from my girls for a Duevel Bella Luna or a Venus. These are omnidirectional speakers. There is no sweet spot, so you can listen everywhere in the living room nicely and they are easy to drive. Music is just in the room for everybody...

    Sending speakers in Germany

Hi Unit, if you are a bit patient, I could give you a contact to a little transport agency near Berlin, which will take your speakers safely to Berlin. This agency is experienced and knows to take care of our expensive boxes. But it will take a little time around a week or so.Not expensive.

    Speaker recommendations for narrow room

A few month ago I sold my Leben CS600 and replaced it with a Leben preamp plus an old Quad 606 mk II. I kept the finesse of the Leben but got much more power (140 instead of 30 W) and sovereignty with the M30 playing in my 40sqm room. Hybrid with plenty of power could be a way to go.

    Epos Loudspeaker

I have here a Epos ES 11 and a Harbeth M30. The Harbeth are just so much better.

New standalone induction cooker - SMEG or AEG?

Bosch or Siemens are very similar, technically nearly identical but with slightly different designs and made even in the same factories.. Recommended. Neff as mentioned above is also a member of the BSH Group, but is still building their own deigns for cookers and ovens, which are very good...

Albania for a summer holiday ? - any advice most welcome.

Hi Raphael, if you want to relaxe close to the sea, you should go in the very South close to the Greek border. It is a beautiful area. But I recommend to avoid the Albanian holidays as the Albanians love to stay in their country spending their holidays at their beaches with some the side effects...

Albania for a summer holiday ? - any advice most welcome.

I was there with my family in 2017. It is a really beautiful country with nice and really friendly people and good authentic food. There are a lot of things to see. Great mountains, nice historical and cultural sites, and a wild and beautiful nature! Only the seaside I found less interesting...

PTP Audio record deck - first hand experience?

Hi Richard, I have no own PTP Solid, but I was very interested in buying one. So a few weeks ago I contacted Peter R. as I wanted to see and listen to that turntable. Peter made a contact for me in my town (Cologne), where he just sold a PTP 12 with a Schick arm and a SPU. Off course I visited...

    Help me find a turntable

A Thorens TD 320 or 321 would be my choice for a good cheaper belt drive. Easier to set up and some say slightly better than the 14x/150/16x range. I have here a TD147 with an OC 9 (very similar to a TD160), a Linn Axis with a Basic tonearm (vintage Grado system) and finally a stock Lenco L70...

    New turntable

Maybe a little idler? A Lenco L70, Dual 1019, TD124 or a Elac Miracord? I also had in mind a Funk Vector, a Gyro or an Audio Note TT2 when I was negotiating with swambo about 2 years ago. Surprisingly she liked a Fat Bob, but she could also agree with a Rosewood Xerxes XX+, which I am using now...
