    Wilson-Benesch GMT One Turntable

I had their original Act TT back in the day for a few years. Nice enough with the benz derived carbon ply cartridge which I still use. Always felt the arm let it down and was fiddly to use. This arm looks similar in design but with a "transformer" makeover. Unipivot? I would've thought a top...

    Decca C4E

There's been a couple come up recently on eBay UK. One was at a silly price, £2k'ish, the other went reasonably at, IIRC, around £400. They're great, vibrant sounding, cartridges, but quite fussy about arm/phono stage choice. I still use a couple in rotation, along with some Garrotts which...

The Source turntable with Odyssey tonearm

I've never heard a Source, and have never really like the aesthetics, but I'm sure its a very well engineered item. I do use an Odyssey tonearm on a regular basis, 12" version with a variety of arm wands which are relatively easy to swap over. John delivered and set it up for me a few years...

System pictures from 20 years ago....

Looks more like an early Soundstyle rack with the add-on turntable frame,

    System pics 2024

I’m sure you’ll do a fantastic job of sorting them out, and they look very attractive compared with some more recent McIntosh offerings.

    Planning permission for driveways

Tarmac: https://tarmac.com/products/asphalt/ultiporous/?cs1_c=52.486243%2C-1.890401&cs1_z=7&cs1_p= Tarmac is usually only viable for larger areas and any permable solution requires suitable build up, membranes, drainage/containment area and any permeable solution will only work on well on...

    Planning permission for driveways

Both tarmac and RBG are available as permeable build-ups. We specify the latter all the time over tree pits and the former is commonplace on new builds specced by the highways guys. Self bound gravels are unsuitable for small areas of frequent parking. They work okay on larger areas but require...

    Audio Synthesis Passion

David’s been happily retired for a few years now afaia. All the AS gear is great, I’ve owned all the passives but especially like the Passion 8s. Last time I spoke that was his user, the 8s, single input version.

    Crimson 610/630s...

I'm currently using a set of Brian Powell serviced amps, 610/630's in my attic system. Its my most used set-up at present, (and I have a few, some much more expensive...), sounding fantastic into a pair of small standmount Accuton's via Wiim Pro+ and Reson Rota using the on board MM input...

    Staple gun

It will depend on the thickness of your runners and underlay. I did ours last year using an air stapler with narrow crown staples, (think around 25mm long), did a good job, quite easy to use and saved around £2k on installation costs...

[FS] NJC Reference Headphone Amplifier MKII

These are great little units. I currently use one in an office system as a pre driving a pair of Fosi ZA3's in mono mode, tiny system that sounds brilliant. Wiim Pro plus on the front.

Returning gear to Europe for repair/upgrade without customs fees/VAT on return

In my experience its awkward both ways. Some smaller manufacturers simply won't take on repairs from the UK now due to the hassle of them being charged as if its an item supplied to them. I've yet to find a courier that has a sensible process in place for a personal EU repair delivery service...
