Cricket 2021 - all things cricket for this year on pfm

I was thinking much the same at the time. The fact is that with England’s batting performance in the final innings India would have still won declaring after Pant was out. The issue is that at the moment only Root, and occasionally Bairstow, are scoring runs. Even if they were hitting their...

The Good Guys: Seller Feedback (Part V)

Bought a Quadraspire rack from @Ponty. Really smooth transaction and I’m exceptionally pleased with the rack. Top fishy.

Interest Check - Sheffield (UK) Bake-Off

A big thank you to Mark, Si and Paul for organising the event, to all the folks who brought kit/music to listen to and to the other attendees for making it a fun day. Nice to put some faces to names and to chat with fellow addicts/nutters. Next time Mark I’ll have to follow you to the pub by the...

Interest Check - Sheffield (UK) Bake-Off

Brill. See you there unless an emergency crops up. Will probably come over on the train and walk down to venue as last time I drove in central Sheffield I got a ticket for entering a bus lane which I didn’t clock as I was too busy trying to work out what the hell they’d done with the roads in...

Whats the longest you've had a bit of Kit thats still in your system???

Well they were definitely around in 1986 when I bought a Linn Axis so my guess is about 1984.

Dammit how did I forget about Janis Ian, Whitney Houston and Joan Armatrading. Think I need a top 10.

Whats the longest you've had a bit of Kit thats still in your system???

Had an LP12 for 25 years or so but not the same one over the whole period. The majority of the current one has been in service for about 20 years and has had the odd bit changed (Lingo 2 replaced Lingo; Keel added about 6 years ago).

Your Top Five Solo Female Singers?

Tracy Chapman Sinead O'Connor Billie Holiday Thea Gilmore Lene Marlin Annie Lennox and Marianne Faithful just missed the cut. Although not my cup of tea, as I don't really like Country & Western music, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Dolly Parton. Absolute master of her craft and a superb...

    Record sleeves

Seems a bit harsh Tony but I know what you mean. Perhaps beaten soundly on the soles of their feet until they promise never to do it again?

When do private sales become trade

Don't see any problem whatsoever with the situation. Classifieds section is really simple. People offer stuff for sale and you have the option to buy at the stated price, try and haggle for a better price or wait for one to come along at the right price for you. Other than for Tony the status of...

Freemasons - What Do You Know About Them?

Amusingly a mate of mine from Swansea refers to folks from North Wales as scousers, citing as proof the "fact" that they prefer football to rugby.
