    Shaun, I have similar experience my CDS is slow to read TOC when it is cold. My solution is leave it on for a few minutes (in my case 10-15 mnts) from cold. Once warmed up it read disc without problem. I am using mine with Naim XPS1 plus Teddy Burndy. please give it a try. If it still does...
