    Brits in the EU

Why not build something on the border between the north and south? That would solve lots of problems. Sleep in Northern Ireland and watch Tv in Eire. Dual citizenship for free. (Only joking folks)

    The 2017 F1 Thread

The joy of seeing Vettel lose. Well done Kimi. So pleased that Verstappen beat Vettel. Dead boring this F1? I don't think so.

    Prevent

Surely asking Muslims to "grass" on potential radicals is not going to be effective. Informants in the traditional pre Islamic terrorism crime scene are regarded as backstabbing grasses by the criminals. How can we expect Muslims to grass on other Muslims. It seems a poor way to procure...

How will you vote in UK General Election (Part III)?

Jezza did squirm unduly when asked a few questions. Why he hadn't prepared something rational was rather difficult to understand.

    Amps, current, ohms and whatnot.

From what I understand the impedance of a speaker is important as if it falls lower than about 4 Ohm the current required to maintain the voltage rises to a point where the amplifier cannot provide the power and distortion occurs. The current output of an amplifier comes from the capability of...

Consumer pressure I guess as I agree with you.

    MP3 is dead ?

Bowers and Wilkins seem to be going with a change to Aiff. I will not be converting my flacs to aiffs or re-ripping CDs to aiff.

    Replacment for an E-10?

I've got an E-10 with sticky rubber bits too. Anyone want it to play with? Free to a good home. The main problem is the batteries go flat quickly and the memory cards are small and a pain. My replacement is an Olympus E-M5 mk 2. You could get a mark 1 and lens updating to a mark2 when funds allow.

wireless extender/access point using old router

Just in case anyone hasn't made the effort or realised that it can be possible. I have an old EE Brightbox and I have reconfigured the box to act as a wireless extender (wired) better described as a wireless access point. I have poor wi-fi in one part of the house due to distance/walls and...

VAG/Volkswagen Defeat Device - Class Action?

I would guess the fix involves tinkering with the power output of the engine when it is cold. Real world fuel consumption will possibly be little effected unless you are pottering about town for short journeys. The thing is if you are using a diesel for pottering about town and/or short...

    Early Nait or late Nait

I always wanted a Naim shoebox amp and bought a cheap Nytech. As an old man I now own a nice set of alloy edged amps. Magic. Possibly no difference to other kit I have, but it's just great having a good looking and sounding classic that's easy to keep up to spec. When my processor controlled...

    10 buildings with extraordinary acoustics

No thanks for that. I'm not usually a reader of the spaces, the link came to me from my daughter.
