Two SBTs in use here, both very stable and still sound good to my ears. No plans to change them and will mourn their passing when they eventually expire.
I've had previous success using using Exact Audio Copy in 'BURST' mode, but unforunately EAC no workey on a Mac so you would need access to a Windows pc to rip them.
This is my lovely baby Marantz 2015 which I bought out of the local classifieds about 20yrs ago for £15 including the genuine wooden case. Since then it's sat in my garage system connected to a portable DAB radio and Mission model 70 speakers.
However having just checked I can't believe how much...
Sold quite a few items recently on FBMP and genereally the experience has been positive for what after all is a free service. However the big problem I find is with 'no shows', i.e. idiots who say they want something and so you agree a day\time for collection only for them not to appear. Also...
Had the wife's mk1 08 plate CVTJazz for 11yrs (now 82k miles) and only issue in our ownership has been rear brake calipers. Had the CVT transmission fluid changed twice in that time, but now note that Honda have recently changed the transmission fluid change interval from 5yrs to every 2yrs. As...
Orient are one of the three major Japanese brands and are now part of the Seiko group though not widely sold in the UK. I have two Orients in my collection and consider them good watches for the money.
Not sure how you can arrive at that figure given that there are three differemt NHS pension schemes and you would need know how much any individual had accrued under each of those scheme. Under the current 2015 scheme the accrual rate is 1/54th, so assuming your nurses career average earnings...
I have a small collection of watches, nothing of any value and a mixture of automatic, manual, quartz & electronic movements. Currently wearing this Omega Constellation Megaquartz 32khz
Sadly the Megaquartz are no longer repairable so enjoying it while I can.
Ain't that the truth. However it's unlikely to change as the people making the decisions also benefit from those fabulously good pensions and Turkeys have a habit of not voting for Christmas.
Thanks for posting, would have done it myself but I couldn't work out how, lol. I bought the book when I purchased my Audiomaster MLS4's and I'm almost certain that was in 1980.
Just tidying up the garage and came across an original Playstation One which unfortunately isn't working. It powers up and you get the Sony welcome sound, however discs won't spin up. It's an early model SCHP1002 with the RCA's on the back, which used to be the sought after type. I'll leave it a...
If you don't mind the look of a vintage receiver, then keep an eye out for a Sansui 800 as it's amp section is similar to that in the 505 & 555a and is said to sound excellent. They are a bit under the radar and so don't always go for silly money which should help with restoration costs.
