Indeed. I've also followed up with the manager I approached at AKM; hopefully he will help.

I've just done a look-up on that website; I'd say it's far from certain that they're a subsidiary of AKM: https://website.informer.com/akm-ics.com. Seems more likely they're a Chinese distributor with no direct relationship to AKM.

In my view, the single greatest issue with this project is that both sponsors and John are guilty of acting as if it's a trivial matter to deliver a multitude of bespoke hardware options. Even if Pro-Ject are now backing John's efforts, I suspect it's highly unlikely they'll be willing to...
