Agreed. I found the 190 uninspiring with my Boenicke W5 and moved it on swiftly. Maybe the sky high damping factor makes it an acquired taste for speakers? Get yourself a demo!

So, you're looking for a low compliance MM to mate with your heavy tonearm. I would recommend the Denon DL109. Obviously vintage, but nice examples can be sourced from Japan. Did anyone else notice the new Hegel integrated with onboard MM phono stage? The H190v. I think it's the only model to get the upgrade. Playing through Amphion speakers, it sounded OK in between the chatter. Only a few manufacturers had the nous to consider room acoustics / treat their room...

It would only contravene eBay rules if you agreed with the seller to close the deal outside of eBay - by paying using Bacs or PayPal gift etc. You could keep within eBay rules by turning up and paying through the eBay listing.

The pair that sold on here recently for 3k were an absolute steal. These are SE+ though and the asking is about par for eBay IMO. Listing looks legit to me. He's reluctant to ship, but will go to the trouble of putting them on a pallet if he does. He's also got plenty of history and 100% rating...
