You can turn the original Mojo on in line mode (hold down the + & - buttons simultaneously then power on).
I have had to change the battery which is easy.
Also iFi do a power supply that works (iPower X 5v) and will power the Mojo direct if you remove the battery or charge it if not.
I added a Sonus 'Beam' Sound Bar connected using the HDMI Arc and it works really well. You can add the Sonus app to your phone and adjust volume there. Usually the built in EQ options only affect the internal speakers. I have 2 Sony TV's. A Sony or other sound bar will also work well...
My parents had an old and simple radiogram. My first vinyl purchase was a Beatles single.
My first foray became a Dual CS505, Trio cassette deck, NAD 3020 and KEF Coda's. That was when I started work and earning my own money. In parallel I had a JVC "Walkman" equivalent for mobile listening...
Vibration absorbing pads under the feet of a Lak table along with 'InSoles' has solved the problem for me. Wall mounting was not an option due to room layout. I did have a wall mount in a previous house which worked really well as it was mounted to a block wall.
I had my very old Osawa OS80L re-tipped by Garrot Brothers in Melbourne (Aus). I am certainly happy with the result. Unfortunately I cannot compare it to how it previously sounded as I had not listened to it for a very long time. I do have a DV20XL that need repair and will send it to them...
Try a Chord Mojo (the originals are popping up used now the MK2 is out) connected via usb. You also get headphone output, two actually. It can also receive optical or coax. I use the Mojo connected to my laptop and then on to my amp via one of the headphone outputs.
I also have an Arcam rDAC...
Hervey Humpbacks _ARG2085 by Milan Vjestica, on Flickr
From a trip to Hervey Bay and the tail end of the southern migration of the Whales. It is amazing how something so large can be so graceful.
I use a Sonos Beam connected with HDMI ARC (the lead comes with the Beam) and it works really well. Previously I used a Yamaha WXA50 amp connected via either RCA or optical. The amp powered 2 small speakers and a subwoofer. Both are simple to set up.
For the Beam the mobile app is more for...
I had an old Osawa OS80L re-tipped by Garrott Brothers. It is now fitted in place of a Dynavector DV20XL.
I replaced the springs on my LP12 with the Analogue Innovation silicone grommets.
Really happy with the changes.
