The problem is that even in small venues, everyone is using a line array. Ive never heard a decent one. HoweverI go to an annual EDM festival in the woods where the PA is Funktion1 - proper paper cones in birch cabs, point source , etc. and my god the sound quality is sublime

another vote for the rigb 540ml. I use this on on my GR. The only regret is that I didnt stump up for the LNR

Get a sub, best thing I did. I dont hear it - if you know waht I mean, excpet when the audio goes low. Most of the time is just adding a bass richness to the audio. Ive got another int he kitchen party system, and i do turn that one up too much when playing techno.... :)

Exactly this - a sl1200 is as much turntable that most people need. I have one in my second system in my dining room and it gets more use than my notts analog in my main system. Do i notice the difference - not really. If i was staring agin, Id go active - loads of really good speakers at all...
