I think this case is different:
a) The Chinese Naim clones are no design copy cats, because they use a different case design.
b) To my knowledge the electric/electronic circuits Naim uses in their equipment are very old and are not (patent) protected anymore.

Have two olive Naim systems:
a) LP12/CDS2/XPS/52/SC/135
b) SL1210GAE/CDI/CD2/82/TeddyDualCap/180
The sonic differences between the 52/SC and the 82/TeddyDualCap Combo can be heard in direct comparison but are negligible in real listining life. Speakers are way more important.
Do you use power line communication (powerLan/dLan) for internet in your house?
Sometimes usage of powerLan triggers distortion signals in your power line. That can result in „funny noise“ coming from your amp.
