    Identify the chilli, please.

Difficult to tell. My nagas this year were waxy and smooth ( ooh I say! ;) ) although the OP confirms it's a habanero. To be fair, there are so many hybrids out there, and I'm sure a few I've grown in the past have cross-pollinated, it becomes a bit specious trying to pin all the varieties down...

    Identify the chilli, please.

A lot of the capsaicin is concentrated in the placenta, which you may have well removed much of with the seeds. May account for the less-than-expected burn. I starve my plants of water prior to picking the pods, which helps up the heat levels. Ahh so it is a habanero after all - there are a...

    Identify the chilli, please.

https://imgur.com/a/ZXENFjY Very much like a Naga Fire Flame - similar to my Naga Yellow Blazes in the link. Readily available as seeds in the UK (Unwins). Its shape is neither due to being under-watered or in poor soil.

The watch thread: pocket, wrist, sporty, showy? You name it!

I've had great service previously from https://www.watchgecko.com/leather-watch-straps They were happy to exchange/refund a Milanese mesh strap that I had ordered and subsequently regretted, no hassle at all. They are UK based, although their staff "about us" section doesn't seem to involve...

    The 2021 F1 Season.

On sketchy tracks like this, it wouldn't take much to put the quali timing beam before the last corner, so the cars can clear the track into the pits immediately. Instant reduction of slower traffic by 50%. If Indycar can do it on their road courses, why can't the FIA?

I've had good results with Raceglaze Leather Balm ( cleaned prior with Raceglaze leather cleaner, which is glycerine based.) Have used on German, Japanese, and Swedish cars, although I don't know the nationality of the donating cows of course. It is white in colour, so will show up in the holes...

    RIP Lee "Scratch " Perry

Was fortunate enough to see him a few times, a very hypnotic performer. He shared his drink with me at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen, and to be honest I wasn't quite myself for a couple of days afterwards.. let's say it was very herbal. Innovator, pioneer, gentleman, shaman.

    The 2021 F1 Season.

DRS, tyres tailored to drop off a cliff, upcoming sprint races, race strategy decided by algorithm, a similar use of safety cars in F1? I love F1, and have since the heady days of the Lotus 78, but the trope of Indy being full of artifice is a bit tired. I have been fortunate to to be at some...

    The 2021 F1 Season.

If only F1 had 5 different winners in 5 races, three of whom were on the top step for the first time. On the technology side I could agree, but the racing? Close, hard-fought, with some exciting upcoming talents.

    Concorde Jet Engine For Sale

I think the Trent casing shop is No. 8 shop. I'm guessing there's anxiety about jobs continuing there due to RR's current job cutting plans, unfortunately. Although the 593 Olympus is a different kettle of fish from the more widespread variants, I'm in agreement with Richard upthread - ten...

    Concorde Jet Engine For Sale

You'd get a shock if you visited Ansty now - a big Meggitt factory on the site of the old workshops, although we still operate a couple of test beds behind it, many have been demolished. The only engines we sent to Ansty were for testing on natural gas, (56 bed) as we only have liquid testing...

    Concorde Jet Engine For Sale

This is incorrect. There are very few in service now, both marine and industrial, due to RR stopping support several years ago. The company I work for still repairs them, although full overhauls are becoming difficult due to parts availability and simple economics. I have pals in rival companies...

RIP Ron Tauranac. A good innings of 95, one of the the few remaining that was associated with F1 in the '60's. Instrumental in Jack Brabham's third championship, numerous lower formulae titles as boss of Ralt, and the man under whom Ron Dennis and Gordon Murray started their careers...

Highlands and islands on Lonely Planet's 'Best in Travel' list

That's the point. I do get out - a lot, mainly in the Cairngorms. I'm replying more to the spirit of all your posts on this thread. Feckers, Idiots, muppets.. all except yourself, eh?Fortunately, in 17 years of living in Scotland I've hardly ever encountered attitudes such as yours.
