That's difficult, it feeds a technics gu700 which is a purely digital amp, so when I have tried the dac on the Rotel it converts it back to digital. Considering the price I'd be surprised if there was a better cd player. 30 day trial with RS, not much to lose.

Agree, I bought mine a couple of months ago from RS, at that time they were priced at £250.... ridiculous vfm. Build is decent and looks great (except for the remote which belies its price). I use mine as a transport only and it's rock solid.

It's effectively one room with two systems in it, got some decent headphones for if my wife is watching TV. The q acoustics are outstanding for the money imo, different sound signature to the Falcons. The q acoustics suit the Technics very well, not as good as the Falcons at lower volumes.
