Chord Chrysalis has long been out of production but I guess you can buy second hand and try it.
The Chord C-Line interconnect is very transparent for a budget cable, or try the Chord Clearway for more of what the C-Line can offer.
Sounds like the 606s are more transparent than the 685 S2, which to some people can come across as a clear but less warm presentation. I have never heard the 685 S2s so just going by possible thoughts.
I wouldn’t count the B&W 606s out as you can use the foam bungs to tune the port and have them closer to a wall. Mine are positioned fairly close to the wall (4 inches and no foam bungs) In my lounge and they sound really good.
I have my 606s connected to a Rotel pre and power combination and an Arcam source which work well although they were relatively thin and bright at first out of the box.
Hello All,
I am finding my new B&W 606 speakers to be quite remarkable for their price.
Very rhythmic, dynamic and transparent.
Anyone else impressed by these speakers?
I have a couple of the Wireworld Ultraviolet USB cables myself and have tried as alternatives -
Supra USB 2.0 - good cable but bass not as firm as the ultraviolet but overall a good budget USB cable.
Chord Company C-USB - found this to be slightly brighter in tone but no better.
I haven’t...
Yes, I have done this many times and it makes the sound between the high and low frequencies sound more integrated if using the same cable as a jumper and more depth and texture to the high frequencies.... imo of course....
Fair enough. I did read somewhere else about reliability issues with iFi psu’s but personally haven’t owned one long enough or experienced a failure for it to be an issue.
Maybe the latest generation of iPowers are more robust???
