Some work involved but I think it's do-able. Those PSU are basially a function generator into a power amp. You could potentially build it using a function generator IC (configure it into a sine wave that generates 33rpm and 45rpm) and a amplifier module like gainclone (LM1875). Component count...
Its not me...I only have one table with 1 cart and 1 phono.
My friend has 2 tables with 2 arms on each table. He has 2 phono preamp and each of these phono preamps have at least 2 inputs to connect to 2 carts. When I was at his place a while back for a music appreciation session, he...
Couple of reasons :
1) One for mono cart, one for stereo cart
2) For continuous play where the next LP to be played can be prepared in advance and allows switching to the next LP seamlessly.
Haha... Its a serious make up brush. ;)

My take will be that if the clamp comes with the table, use it. If not, don't bother. Even on my table the Immedia RPM2 which comes with it's own clamp, I have tried different clamps of heavier mass and concluded stock clamp is the best in terms of having a more balanced presentation and not...
The table is RPM2 while the arm is RPM-2. Pretty confusing eh? Yes, it is the predecessor of Spiral Groove and that's the reason why I bought it. One of the few American tables can do the PRaT thing very well and yet has amazing refinement and resolution.
Here's a close up...
How about using programmable boards such as Arduino and write a short code to generate sine wave throigh 2 outputs that is perfectly out of phase by 180 degrees and then have it amplified?
