Wiim Mini just to test the streaming waters, haven't used the DAC bit. Before that used Qutest when the in built DAC in my pre died. Both are surprisingly good.

I have used stock, Moon Audio Black Dragon and Cardas Clearlight cables with a pair of Hifiman HE560 and think they did make a meaningful difference. Probably depends on the level of your 'phones and the quality of the stock cable. Got different phones now so gave the cables away as didn't fit...

I have used Moon Audio (Black Dragon) and Cardas (Clear light) replacement cables which were both better than the OEM cables that came with my HiFiMan cans. Both made in the US.

I have a 2015 MBP and had a 2019 M1 touchbar MBP before a daughter liked it also. I think the use of even a cheap USB DCA/dongle (audioquest dragonfly original in my case) showed just what you are missing with the computer trying to be a DAC/headamp. This was with B&W P5s The iFi GO link @ GBP59...

Most PC users seem to use JRiver. Supposed to sound better. I’m a Mac guy so can’t say for sure
