I use 2 oz tequila, 1 oz triple sec, 1 oz lime juice and a skoosh of agave syrup, easy to remember after a few!

Cointreau is good, but I prefer Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, as for tequilas my go-to for margaritas is Batanga Blanco, but any 100% Agave blanco tequila will be good.

Don't laugh, but an ex-colleague of mine actually tried mercury speaker cables. The magazines were all getting excited about linear crystals at the time so he decided to try mono crystal cables - liquid mercury in teflon tubes. Unfortunately the size of the tubes meant that the cables were high...

I've gone with Makita - I have an impact wrench (1/2"), a drill, a tyre inflator, inspection lamp, a lawnmower and a strimmer, they all work very well! The impact wrench is particularly impressive - it can loosen off nuts way tighter than it is specified to do.

I have high hopes for my Morris Minor, it's in better nick than that race car...

On a more obscure note, I'm going to see Divide and Dissolve in early September.

I managed to get tickets for Death Cult in Glasgow, should be fun - I never managed to see them live back in the day. My wife saw them in the mid 80s - she said there were big fights between the "Flat Tops" (remember them?) and the Goths.

Swans at St Lukes in Glasgow, it was an amazing experience - I think possibly the second loudest gig I've ever been to, although from the pictures (some old guys sitting in a church) you wouldn't expect that.
