Are these early 60s mono recordings? Just getting into this music but don't have dedicated mono deck. Do they play OK with a stereo cart? Honest Jon's has a good website to be able to sample tracks before buying.

I thought you were looking for the best sounding dac in your particular price bracket? The weight distribution of any particular unit will have no direct effect on how good it sounds.

Speak to Paul at RFC about building a pair of Legacy style Tannoys. He currently has a thread on Audioflat forum about such a build. From that thread the quality looks amazing with a fantastic finish. For what are bespoke pieces of furniture they seem to be very keenly priced.
