Interest check in my Paradise Phono Stage built by Simon Clarke (SQ... of pfm fame).
It is the four shoe box build, dual mono spec and has external loading plugs.
Calvins have been added by SQ subsequent to original build and it has the better opamps installed. It also has the perspex "Paradise"...
Are these early 60s mono recordings? Just getting into this music but don't have dedicated mono deck. Do they play OK with a stereo cart?

I thought you were looking for the best sounding dac in your particular price bracket? The weight distribution of any particular unit will have no direct effect on how good it sounds.
...and when you lift it, one side is heavier than the other, so feels a little unbalanced...

Speak to Paul at RFC about building a pair of Legacy style Tannoys. He currently has a thread on Audioflat forum about such a build. From that thread the quality looks amazing with a fantastic finish. For what are bespoke pieces of furniture they seem to be very keenly priced.

This amp is sounding very nice now it is back in the system:). Got it playing from 1800 Hz up powering BMS TPL150s in my active system and it is indeed as good as you say.

Ok, so not what I thought at all really.
Those blue blocks coupling the arm pod and motor board to the bottom layer, are they compliant or solid like ebony or oak dowels or cones? Is the arm board a different material?
