Have you tried to update the streamer software? Goto the streamer settings / system Tab and check for updates...
When you play from your PC, does the indicated Sample rate change on the S2 DAC? I'm wondering of your 48KHz based clock is not happy... (or 44.1KHz) which ever is causing the noise...
Hi Trevor,
Thanks for the offer - as I explained to the "other respected member" :) what I need is a programmer with hardware experience who can handle the XMOS, the C++ is just for the MCU handling the UI / front panel, this is not of great concern as its easy to find skilled programmers in...
UI stuff yes, not the hardware control blocks, Ill basically create libraries for the hardware level stuff - isolating the more complex (hardware) side from the programmer. The idea is a programmer then just calls functions and transferred data if required, to and from the hardware.
For sure I make a bad software programmer - I have no idea of whats considered clean style, but I can learn from what I can see as well written code.

Some clarification on the path moving forward.

I'm working on with new EDA tools on a PC that has no internet connection - also a very steep learning curve so I'm trying to get as much done as I can under the current circumstances...
After a situation earlier this year where I was tracked via my phone (nothing sinister, but after living...
Here in Czech we have a essential travel / services only = basically we are in lock-down... 4 members of the family are in the high risk group so I'm very mindful of my actions.
Trying to work remotely on the firmware / software without direct access to the lab equipment slows things down...
Things are REALLY bad here in Czech with a mass lock-down, with the police stopping almost all cars to control non essential travel - they confirm your within your "local" area via ones ID card - its like living in the past where you could not travel outside your area without a pre-approved...
