    Linn LP12-50 Limited Edition

Hardly revolutionary for Linn, they'd have just stolen the idea! But you'll damn well be paying for them handsomely! Perhaps if they do move in that direction and at an obscene price I'll just reappraise my costs to reflect all the R&D I've done on their behalf.

    Linn LP12-50 Limited Edition

In days of yore I felt somewhat sure That Linn's advice on plinth material choice was suggested as being Afrormosia. I like afrormosia as it can come highly figured and multi hued especially if you were lucky.. If you were unlucky it can look very drab and uninteresting. I feel Linn would have...

When is a spring not a spring ? When it’s a polymer Insole

No need James. Just snug it all up then turn the plinth right way up, insert sub platter, outer platter etc and level arm-board to plinth top edge or use a level if you prefer.

When is a spring not a spring ? When it’s a polymer Insole

A long time has passed Richard and much has happened in my life since then, I would have to check the Durometer, possibly yours are slightly harder, I'm not sure?

Yes we accept returns if undamaged and at customers cost, should they not work for you.. I must add we have only ever had a miniscule amount returned after having sold many hundreds of sets.

Very neat solution John. Incidentally, Lennart also sells our In-Soles across Europe.

Yes, indeed Royal Mail and their overseas mail partners are somewhat tardy, but costs are low for customers. Also good things come to he/she who waits.

    LP12 re-build ... advice on options

No Paul, I think your comment is fundamentally incorrect. It reads the groove competently enough so the music you play sounds great to you.. If there was no disc on the platter it would sound awful. I'll get me coat.

John, MartinC, Brian and James. I had indicated that I would be shipping out yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately My BP was through the roof yesterday afternoon during a cardiac clinic appointment, so they shipped me off to hospital for further tests. I was discharged too late to make the post...

When is a spring not a spring ? When it’s a polymer Insole

Easily remedied with a quick change of stud M5. be sure not to insert them full depth through leave a mm or two and use a a locknut to secure the In Sole will clear the nut and won't interfere with it. There are other means to overcome this issue but will be more bodge like. If you change your...

    Linn LP12 Talk to me!

Yes it was advocated by Sondekk. The suspension's movement in the vertical plane remains unaffected, as was the pull by the motor on the rotational plane of the sub platter. However, the assembly of the suspended components, (sub-chassis, bearing, inner platter outer platter and arm-board)...

When is a spring not a spring ? When it’s a polymer Insole

That's as maybe, but it is his prerogative to say, but I would still defend his right to free speech. However much I may disagree with him or find his comments offensive. Some folk find some comedians offensive, but folk need to grow up if you don't like them don't read their articles or go to...
