Got the same problem. It was mentioned here https://pinkfishmedia.net/forum/threads/m-dac-no-comms-message-turns-into-a-power-cycling-issue.245159/#post-4125352 that a standard crystal 28.224 MHz would work as well. Anyone tried this? Cheers, Johan

On the subject of servicing: check and if necessary, replace the fuse resistors in this amp. They are known to fail or at least not stay on their nominal value.

I'd steer clear from receivers like the Technics SA-400 because of the STK modules in the power amp section. If they fail they are nigh impossible to replace with originals.
