My understanding is that we can change the position in the room at which the mode occurs, rather than reduce the level by anything significant.

I have the Luxman 507Z, which I think is superb. I have it paired with Cary Audio DMS-650 Streamer/ DAC. Speakers are Audio Physic Tempo 35, but I’m currently evaluating Raidho X2T and Focal Sopra 2. My room is only 4m x 3m so I have to choose speakers carefully.

I’ve had a demo with Raidho X2T, which were superb. Obviously, the X1T don’t go as low or have quite the same impact in the bass.

Actually, we often have our own personal cloud at the height we live at (560m) :) There’s plenty of sun all year round, but when it rains, it can really rain. It’s more consistently settled at sea-level along the South coast. The island is full of micro-climates.

I’ve certainly never made a change because I needed to - only because I wanted to. The only exception was downsizing to a system that I could take to our new home in Madeira as hand-luggage. Now that we are settled, I’ve been upsizing again.

There’s plenty of precedent elsewhere for Class D amplification products in this price category and beyond. Naim is doing nothing here that’s any different than several other manufacturers really.
