Please suggest a simple way to clean records...

For me the main issue with the Knosti is the supplied fluid. I found it clung to the cleaned disc and left residue in the grooves, which clogged my stylus and often resulted in a muted sound. So I switched to home-brew solution and it improved immediately. Also getting the worst of the liquid...

Worth moving from MC to MM to cheaply change phono styli more frequently?

I'll chime in here. When I had my SL1200 (modded arm, heavy counterweight, KAB damper) I used a standard (then nuded) DL103 for a while. It does possess a magic to it, but I could never get over the IGD that I just could not lessen, no matter what alignment I tried. Fast forward to now and I run...

    Moving Magnet Magic!

Currently enjoying my RigB 540ML. Surprised at how little it gives away to the MCs I've owned (OC5, 33PTG, Denon 103R). In the past I have loved my old ADC XLMIII (Why oh WHY did I ever sell it!!), the Nagaoka OS300MP that I still have, and an A&R P77 that I think was the first 'proper' MM cart...

Harbeth Nelson: a DSP subwoofer that doubles as speaker stand for P3ESR and other mini-monitors

Or buy my Kralk BC30mkIIs with the PAW stands. No DSP but look a whole lot better and sound bloody lovely... ;)

Speaker coupling - it's an actual thing

It makes sense to me too. I think all too often speaker placement is compromised by aesthetic considerations for domestic harmony, other visual peccadilloes (symmetry in my case, as I can't abide slight deviations from perfect), practicality (access/safety) and a host of other things. So that...

    The perfect walk around camera

As a walkabout cam I think the X100 series is hard to beat. But if you're worried about the focal length the WCL converter is great - not huge, and very very sharp. I had both the WCL (28mm equivalent) and TCL (50mm) with my OG X100. Sold them when it broke on me, and now have Mr Perceptive's...

Anyone else use "The Luminous Landscape" site?

Blimey I'd completely forgotten about LL. I subbed and used it a lot - and I've no idea why I stopped. How strange. Thanks for the reminder!

[FS] Kralk Audio BC30mkII with PAW stands

These little beauties are still available... Someone enquired about specs/sizes. Sensitivity is 90db, so very easy to drive. Size wise they are 20cm D x 30cm H x 18cm W, and are 103cm tall with stands. You don’t need to biwire them, just jumpers from the speakers to stands (some supplied but...

Fujifilm X-Pro 2 in immaculate condition

Having done some price research I'm reducing to £750. MPB have excellent ones in at £850 ish so I think that's fair for one in such good condition. Comes with strap, instructions, body cap, charger and battery.
