John, I have received PMD100 chip from the same source as fred sonnen, whose chip you have checked and found to be ok (IIRC). Assuming mine is also ok, can I install it into FDAC without soldering, just plugging it into a socket? Or should I send it to you to install and test?

FYI A08 did not work for me, had to go back to V0.90.

Tried A.08 but digital out was still broken, then went to V0.90 which was ok.

Well, John could offer a couple of options for the owner to choose from. I trust that the non-Speakon option(s) John would choose would be on par with the amps.

Yes, Speakons are very handy when you experiment with pre-terminated cables and I'm sure the hifi shops do not mind at all when you re-terminate their demo cables. If you must, use Speakons, but only if the amps have standard binding posts as well. I vote for not to using Speakons.
