The latest issue of Stereophile has a glowing review of the Heed Elixir (by Herb Reichert).

    Integrated Amps £1,000 to £1,600

If I had to pick one integrated, it would be the Sonneteer Alabaster. It's sublime into my Graham Audio LS5/9s, so it should match well with Harbeths. No remote control, though. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q0enb2s6tzmod90/Sonneteer_EN%20%281%29.pdf?dl=0

How Good Is This Naim DAC?

I have the Naim DAC + TXPS and have trialed the DAC with the XPS-DR. I still prefer the Resonessence Mirus, as it draws me further into the music and unerringly moves my focus to what the musicians are doing. As an aside, the Hugo came, stayed for nearly a year, but ultimately was let down by a...

    Naim Unitiserve/Unitiqute 2/Naim Dac...

Option *a* (which I take means connecting the US and the Qute together via the network) is preferable and will not degrade sound quality as compared to a direct digital connection via S/PDIF between the US and the Qute or the US and the DAC. Don't worry about the length of the signal path for...

    The end for Naim?

The 272 is selling very well, XPS sales have picked up tremendously (great margins in power supplies) while the 250DR is going like hot cakes. At the low-end, mu-so sales are healthy, and at the uber high-end, custom Naim systems are popping up in land yachts...

What Is The Modern Day Nait 2?

Yep, there are interesting differences between the active and passive inputs on the Alabaster. The actives are, as you say, more dynamic, yet the passive inputs won me over, as there seems to be a little more subtlety, taking me a bit further into the music. I've never heard the Campion.

What Is The Modern Day Nait 2?

If you can forgo the shoebox requirement, the Sonneteer Alabaster is very easy to recommend. It maintains an uncanny focus on the music, never letting the sound quality of the recording get in the way. It's one of the very few amps that I've found to be mood-agnostic, i.e., no matter my mood, it...

    Going deaf

Obviously, cannabis cannot repair damage (either noise-induced or medication-induced) to the hair cells in the inner ear. What it can do though is improve the brain's ability to make sense of the electrical impulses that the remaining hair cells deliver. The hearing system can be thought of as a...

    Going deaf

Have you tried cannabis? Using a type with a high CBD to THC ratio can reduce tinnitus and render the remaining tinnitus less bothersome (through its dissociative effect). Also, cannabis can improve hearing.

    nDac Software Upgrade

OK, I see (over on the Naim forum) that you've got it sorted finally. Enjoy the music! Jan

    nDac Software Upgrade

Try a forced update procedure: by pressing the dock and 4 button simultaneously on power up. When doing this all buttons should blink 4-5 times just after power up. When the buttons have stopped blinking and are ON the unit is ready for updating i.e. this is when you insert the USB stick with...
