This completely killed the transformer hum from an Avondale power amp I previously owned, and generally seems to be regarded as one of the best DC blockers available.
Selling as my current Neumann speakers seem pretty immune to DC.

I only compared the 33PTG against a regular Ania, but IMO it was quite a bit better. I tried to settle for for an MC lower down the AT food chain, but ended up with another 33PTG when it needed to be replaced - I don't think it can be beaten for the price.

The wavy ply laminations would bug the hell out of me though. Personally, I would just paint the baffle as I think you'll see the deviations in flatness if you try to sand the surfaces to get the lines to straighten, especially across that top surface.
