I work as a sound engineer but I'm also keen on hi fi. At a gig for instance, you'd have the setup parametrically EQ'd with some surprising cuts at problem frequencies. At home, I baulk at an extra centimeter of cable. They're two different things in my head: "Hi fi is to sound engineering...

I've been offered some ditton 25's for 110 quid. How do these compare with the KEF 104ab's I currently have? Would they work out with a NAP 160? I thought they might be worth a try at that price.

It's interesting that you should talk of the 180 having a bit more "slam". I really like the sound of the 160 but the only thing I can criticise is that it does seem to lack a bit of punch/balls/slam etc... Perhaps a PSU upgrade would even things out with the 180?
